Inlaying Clay Class


In this 3-week class students will explore the art of inlaying colored clay into slabs to create bold patters and designs. First students will learn how to slab build a cup or small vessel, then they will learn how to color clay and inlay their design onto a slab, and finally they will construct a cup from their slabs. Come color, craft, and learn a new skill in this beginner friendly course.

What to Bring:

  • Wear old clothes: Pottery can get messy!
  • Old towel
  • Closed-toe shoes: For safety in the studio.
  • A positive attitude: Be ready to learn and have fun!

Included in the course fee: 10 lbs of clay, a firing allotment for this clay, and access to all necessary studio tools.
